Belarus negotiating with Iran about oil supply through Ukraine
Belarus is negotiating with Iran about oil supply in connection with the complexity of the negotiation process with Russia on gas and oil. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, speaking in Parliament, reports "Interfax".
"We are negotiating with Iran, which is desperate to find oil market and is ready to reduce the price", - Lukashenka said.
He also recalled the recent reduction in the volume of oil supplies from Russia and stressed that Belarus refineries - "this is the companies that cannot fail to provide oil to the eyeballs."
According to Lukashenko, the Iranian oil could be supplied by sea to Odessa, and from there - via the pipeline at an oil refinery in the Belarusian Mozyr.
As reported OilNews, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated, that he would not put up with a reduction of oil supplies from the Russian Federation.
"Few months we cannot agree on the price of gas. In this connection, Russia reduced oil supplies to Belarus. We perceive it as a pressure on Belarus, but I will not tolerate the pressure and Belarusians too ", - Lukashenka said.
Also recall, that Belarus from 11 October to raise tariffs for Russian on transportation Russian oil in half.
Note, previously the director of "Consulting Group A-95" Sergey Kuiun expressed the view that, in connection with the new pressure from Moscow to Minsk and a decrease in oil supplies to Belarusian refineries, the Republic must to resume the search for alternative for oil supplies.
"Russia has once again proved its status as an unreliable and politicized supplier, it can be traced as an example of restriction of oil supplies to Belarus, and on a recent embargo on diesel fuel to Ukraine", - said the expert. According to him, Belarus should not only diversify its market for petroleum products, but also the sources of supply of raw materials.
Recall, that in March, Kiev and Tehran have discussed the possibility of oil supplies from Iran to Europe through Ukraine, as well as the processing of Iranian oil to Ukrainian refineries.
