In August, oil and gas condensate production decreased by 16% due to the decline in production of "Ukrnafta"
The production of oil and gas condensate in August decreased by 16% (by 29,9 thousand tons) to 158 thousand tons due to a fall in production of the largest oil producer "Ukrnafta". This is evidenced by the statistics of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry.
"Ukrnafta" reduced production by 21,9% compared to August 2016 and by 3% compared to July 2017. In August, it produced 95,8 thousand tons of oil and 3,4 thousand tons of condensate.
"Ukrhazdobycha" increased its gas condensate production by 1,8% in August to 30,94 thousand tons. But due to the fall in oil production, the company's total liquid hydrocarbon production declined by 4,2%.
Private companies showed a 4% increase in condensate and a 25% drop in oil.
In January-August 2017, total oil and condensate production in the country decreased by 4,5% to 1.,425 million tons: oil production fell by 8% to 982,8 thousand tons, gas condensate increased by 5,3% to 442,5 thousand tons.

For 8 months of 2017, private companies increased gas condensate production by 26% - up to 143 thousand tons.
As enkorr reported, the Verkhovna Rada adopted on December 20, 2016, in the second reading, draft law No. 5132 on amendments to the Tax Code. The document assumes a reduction in the amount of rent for oil production. At the same time, the deputies did not support the earlier amendments to the draft law on changes to the Tax Code - on the establishment of a 12% rent on new wells in the extraction of natural gas.
